FOOD GRADE / FDA :
Silicone that has undergone a specific treatment to make it compatible with food. It can come in contact with food or food can be cooked in it (up to 200°C).
PROPERTIES OF SILICONE RUBBER:
Thermal resistance
- From -60°C to +200/250°C
Chemical resistance
- Excellent resistance against acid and alkaline solutions. Resistant to essential oils and minerals. Excellent resistance to oxidising agents, salt solution, hydrogen peroxide.
- Excellent resistance to ozone, light, atmospheric agents and ageing.
Other characteristics
- Anti-adhesive, no smell and taste, excellent dielectric characteristics.
- Absolute lack of toxicity in contact with physiological fluids, animal cells and food substances.
