The polyester is a class of polymers that produces yarn also used in the production of technical fabrics.
The characteristics of these yarns are:
- A great tenacity and resilience, resistance to dynamic breakage. In metallurgy the ability of a metal to resist the forces that are applied
- A high abrasion resistance
- Resistance to heat (the polyester is combustible but tends to burn with a flame retardant)
- Good resistance to chemicals
- Low moisture recovery
